I am everyone who came before me
This project explores how identity is shaped by the people who came before us. Using a personal archive of family photographs, I created a moving image piece that layers and combines faces to highlight shared features and inherited traits.
Rather than creating seamless blends, I used fragmented and uneven cuts to show identity as something built from multiple parts. As the video progresses, faces shift and merge, reflecting how generations overlap and influence one another.
The project also extends into a series of printed posters, where key frames are isolated and overlaid with handwritten text. Together, the outcomes present identity as both personal and collective, shaped by memory and time.
